March 2025 Updates – What’s New in TrackoField

TrackoField’s field force management software is back with fresh updates to make your field operations smoother and smarter.

We’ve added Customer & Site Type fields, OTP-based sales orders, and attendance override approvals — giving managers more control. Moreover, role management just got easier with cloning and custom permissions.

Plus, a sleeker UI, faster location tracking, and multilingual support mean your teams work faster, better, everywhere.

5 New Updates in TrackoField – March 2025

Update 1 – New “Customer Type Field” in Customer Module

We have added a new “Customer Type field” in Customer Module with sorting, dropdown, and bulk upload support. This helps managers with enhanced customer identification.

Admin can add and configure “Customer Type” in company profile and by further clicking on “Custom fields.”

After clicking on the “Add” button on the extreme right, a pop up will appear, making it easy to input desired customer type values.

Update 2 –  New “Site Type” Input Visible on Dashboard

The dashboard now displays “Site Type” for ongoing tasks with proper formatting and truncation for long names.

You can define Site type as:

> Customer

-> Location

-> None

If the “site type” is selected as “customer”, it will get displayed along with customer name. Super useful to know where your team at!

Update 3 – Attendance Override & Public Holiday Visibility

Approved attendance override requests are now updated in the Attendance Summary after required approvals. We have also, added color notation for public holidays in Attendance Summary.

Update 4 – Enabled OTP-based Sales Order Functionality

We have introduced OTP-based sales order functionality to make your sales management fool-proof. Admins can enable an “OTP Order” column in sales order grids, which remains hidden by default.

The column appears only if the OTP feature is enabled and is included in Excel exports when shown on the grid.

To enable the “OTP Order”, in company profile, visit “Others”. And swipe the toggle of the second option with input “Enable Sending OTP on Sales Orders.” Voila! Ensure your agents are at right customer at right time.

Update 5 – Introduced “Roles Assignments” Under Access Management

Don’t want to give complete access to your team? We are thrilled to bring roles assignments under access management for better control and permission setting. Now manage permissions on granular level too.

Under “Roles Assignment”, further in “Managers role”, managers can set permissions for executives to “Add/Edit” customer as per type.

For Managers

  • Manager’s roles assignment includes permission setting for Dashboard, Shift & Leave Management, Payroll Management, and Order Management, etc. 
  • We bring you new permissions under the Manager role, including Task Bulk Upload, Language Change, Password Change Access, and Roles & Permissions, with predefined defaults for Root Managers. 

For Executives

We have expanded Field Executive role permissions, granting (full, view, create, edit) access to Tasks, Customers, Sales Orders, Expenses, Conveyance, Payroll, and Goals, with appropriate controls. 

What’s More in Roles & Permissions?

  • We enhanced Roles & Permissions, ensuring it is always available for the Root Manager.
  • In roles assignment, managers can set by default landing page as analytical dashboard, Dashboard or Tasks Module – at least one has to be enabled.
  • We have added functionality for cloning existing roles in roles assignment by introducing a Clone button that pre-fills role details while maintaining unique role names. No need to manually update the roles!

💡Shifting Placements of Expense & Payroll!

  • We have shifted Expense and Conveyance Settings management from Company Profile to Roles Assignment under a new “Expense/Conveyance” section.
  • We have moved Payroll module management from Company Profile to Roles Assignment, ensuring Payroll is on by default for Root Managers but off for other Managers.

What’s More?

  • We have introduced permissions for scheduling reports and email templates under a new tab.
  • Ensured the Root Manager retains all permissions by default, even when disabling public holiday creation for child managers.
  • We have added a “License Auto Renewal” column in the Manager and Field Executive tables. It’s hidden by default but available in column visibility and Excel downloads.

UI & Experience Related Updates

  • We have implemented UI improvements on the Sales Order page, ensuring a proper alignment of the total amount row with a grey highlight and a scroll bar below it.
  • We have also updated subject line in new user creation email to “Welcome to TrackoField.”
  • While creating or saving a customer, it’s mandatory for the user to define the geofences.

What’s More for Field Executives?

  • A push notification will be sent to the Executive if they move outside the geofence during a geofence-verified ongoing task.
  • Introduced support for Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu languages to cater to executives with diverse language preferences – in TrackoField Executive App on Android and iOS.
  • Enhanced speed of location fetching in the Executive App to speed-up Mark-in/Mark-out and Task start/complete actions.
