Major TrackoField’s Updates in January 2025
Update 1 – Enhanced Custom Fields in “Tasks” & “Customers”
Just to ensure better alignment with organisational needs, we now have improvised custom fields in tasks and customers.
For instance, you will find a new field such as “Field dependency” in both the customer and task module. This will help businesses refine their entries for better clarity.

Update 2 – Added Customer Approval Field
Visit “Company profile”, then click on the “Approval” tab, there you will see a new field named “Customer Approval Field” now visible. In its drop-down, you get:
- “None” option, where you can disable the approvers.
- “Custom” option, where you can customarily select the approver.
- After these two, you will see numbers, giving you the option to set the number of approvers you want in the customer approval process.
Benefit – This helps make the approval hierarchy more foolproof and efficient.
Update 3 – Introduced Custom Forms on Sales Orders
Now there are custom fields in “Sales Orders” too.

💡How is this helpful?
When a field executive logs an order, they often need to add extra details—like the distribution center, hub, preferred delivery date, or SPOC number. To simplify this, we’ve introduced a Custom Forms module, allowing them to capture all necessary information seamlessly within the sales order process.
Update 4 – Improved File Upload Functionality
Now you can add multiple images without removing the existing ones. If you simply want to remove a single image rather than all of them, you can do that effortlessly.
Benefit – This is the best way to speed up your process and ensure no delays.

Update 5- Managers Get GPS Off Notifications in Run Time
A notification is now sent to the Reporting Manager if a Field Executive turns off their GPS. Now they won’t have to wait and review reports for the time when the GPS was turned off.
Benefit – This feature redefines the supervision level and ensures timely intervention/action.
What’s the Latest in the Task Management Module?
- Large task records and Excel downloads will now show status updates on the “Download Status Report” page instead of a delay loader on the task screen.
- Task reports will display the old manager’s name for tasks created before a Field Executive’s manager is changed. New tasks will show the new manager’s name.
- Added provision for creating custom fields in the Customer module with similar settings as the Task module.
- Applicable custom fields set by the manager are now displayed during task creation for Field Executives.
- Support for custom fields has been added to the HR module with a new “HR” tab in custom fields. Fields created here will appear on the HR creation page.
- Added support for custom fields in the Manager module with a “Manager” tab. Fields created here will appear on the Manager creation page.
- Implemented pagination in the Task module to limit displayed records, similar to the Customer module.
- Incorporated newly added custom fields in Excel downloads for Task List and Task Reports.
- Enabled a 6-month custom date range filter and sorting for Task List and Sales Orders, allowing max up to 50,000 records to be downloaded in Excel.
What’s the Latest in Custom Fields?
- Enhanced Custom Fields with new field type properties: Barcode, File Upload, and Signature, exclusively for the Task module.
- Added custom field settings for managers to define field properties such as Placeholder Text, Min/Max limits, Sub-labels, Field Dependency, and Field Validation.
- Introduced mandatory file extension selection for File Upload fields in custom forms and custom fields.
- Applicable custom fields set by the manager are now displayed during task creation for Field Executives.
What’s More in Sales & Customer?
- The search box in the Sales Order module now works with the functionality to search by “Order ID.”
- Notifications have been added for customer approval requests.
- Now there is an option to upload separate logos for the application and billing details.
- The approval trail for customer requests is now visible in the Customer Module, showing approval status and levels.
- Customer ID is displayed on the edit page of the Customer Module, which is consistent with the web application.
- Pending customer approval requests will be canceled when the manager for a Field Executive (FE) is changed, aligning with the behavior for orders, expenses, and travel/conveyance.
What’s the Latest in the Attendance, Overtime & Payroll?
- Decimal value input is now allowed for salary components with percentage-based calculation types.
- Field executives can cancel overtime requests while they are in the pending state.
- Updated the mobile Attendance Dashboard to align with the web version, ensuring consistency in status displays such as “Weekly Off.”
- Enhanced the Team module by adding info icons to options like Geo-Verified Attendance, Visually Verified Mark In/Out, and Task Document Uploads for better usability.

- Forms filled by field executives will now be visible in the Sales Order Report.
- Added the ability to create new customers directly from the task creation modal.
- Country code functionality simplifies phone number handling.
- Integrated OpenStreetMap (OSM) layer across Dashboard, Customer, Geofence, Task, and Distance Report modules in TrackoField.
- Added a new parameter to Customer API for the mobile end to support customer creation from the task module.
- Country code is added to customer creation and edit pages in the Customer Module, similar to the web application.
- Dependent fields in custom forms now follow the order specified in company profile settings.
- Multi-selection dropdown functionality aligns with updated settings: Single selection is shown when multi-selection is disabled.
- A dropdown arrow was added to the country code field for a consistent experience with the web application.
