Simplify HR operations with TrackoField’s Leave Balance Adjustment. Configure probation-based leave and correct balances at scale, without waiting on the backend.
Field teams don’t grow in neat, predictable batches. New hires join on the 3rd, the 17th, the 29th, whenever a role closes. Yet most leave systems still run on a single fixed rule: join before a cut-off date, get full leave; join after, get half. That rigidity compounds as organisations scale into multiple regions, each with its own hiring rhythm and probation norms.
A one-size-fits-all leave policy cannot support a workforce that doesn’t grow on a fixed schedule. HR teams need a structure that reflects how people actually join, and the ability to correct balances without routing every change through the backend.
To solve this, TrackoField has launched its Leave Balance Adjustment feature, the newest addition to its field force automation software.
It is a fully configurable, probation-based leave framework built for growing field teams, giving businesses precise control over allocation and bulk-level correction, without manual backend dependency. Want a closer look? Keep reading.
Leave Balance Adjustment is a purpose-built workflow that puts leave correction back in the hands of the people managing it. It brings Leave Type, Probation Policy, and individual employee balances into one place, so managers can update balances, review accrual rules, and track probation status from a single dashboard, not three separate requests to the backend team.
This builds on the same operational philosophy behind TrackoField’s Center Management module, structured, hierarchy-driven configuration that scales with growing teams.
The framework mirrors how leave policy actually works on the ground, not how a spreadsheet assumes it should. Configuration flows through three layers, each inheriting from the one above it.
Leave Type (Policy & Accrual Rules)
↓
Leave Profile (Probation & Assignment Rules)
↓
Employee (Individual Balance)
Every leave type carries its own accrual frequency and carry forward configuration. Leave profiles apply probation-based, pro-rata rules to specific employee groups. Individual balances inherit from both layers above, giving managers one verified source of truth instead of three conflicting ones.

One Hierarchy. Complete Leave Control
This is the rule set defined once and applied consistently everywhere: accrual frequency, carry forward configuration, and Comp-Off expiry.
Probation rules apply to defined employee groups, each mapped to the relevant leave types beneath them. This is what makes pro-rata allocation for mid-month joiners possible, and predictable.
Coverage gaps disappear because allocation logic no longer depends on memory or manual judgement calls. Availability, whether in the joining month or the one after, is configured once and applied every time.

Built for Real Hiring Cycles
The final layer is the number that actually matters to the employee: a consistent balance tracked as Granted, Available, Consumed, and Upcoming, where Granted = Available + Consumed + Upcoming.

From Manual to Intelligent Leave Management
Leave allocation, correction, and probation tracking are genuinely complex problems, and most HR teams have simply learned to live with the friction. TrackoField’s Leave Balance Adjustment removes it, bringing leave types, probation policy, and individual balances into one intelligent system built for how growing teams actually hire.
This is a meaningful step towards connected, self-serve HR operations. With TrackoField, growing teams get the flexibility to configure leave the way they actually work, and the confidence to scale without losing control of the details.
