What's new TrackoBit

August has been a busy month at TrackoBit!

We’ve rolled out 3 powerful new features and improvements to make your fleet operations smoother, more secure, and more insightful. From tracking real fuel costs to stronger lock controls and even deeper reporting, here’s everything that’s new.

Major Updates in TrackoBit’s Web App for August 2025

Feature 1: Fuel Cost in Consumption Report

You can now define the fuel cost in your profile, and the system will automatically calculate the cost of every refueling or draining event.

For example:

If you set ₹100 per liter as your fuel cost, and a vehicle refuels 50 liters, you will now directly see the total cost — ₹5,000 — instead of just the liter filled.

With this update, you will also see the monetary impact of fuel events, making your consumption reports more practical for budgeting, expense tracking, and cost analysis.

Feature 2: OTP Unlocking in Geofence

We’ve enhanced vehicle lock/unlock security with two new levels of authority:

  • Unlock in Geofence Only

Vehicles can now be unlocked only within a predefined geofence. This ensures that unlocking happens strictly in the right location, reducing unauthorized access.

  • OTP Authentication

To unlock the e-lock, users will now require a One-Time Password (OTP). This adds an extra layer of verification and control. You can define the template while creating the geofence.

With these updates, you receive enhanced protection against misuse and unauthorized unlocking, resulting in more reliable fleet security.

Feature 3: Raw Packet Save

TrackoBit now lets you view and understand raw GPS data packets directly on the dashboard.

Here’s how it works:

  • On the dashboard, go to the “Parameters” tab.
  • A modal will open showing the raw data packet exactly as received from the device.
  • Just below, you’ll see a data table where the packet is automatically decrypted and categorized, allowing you to view both the original packet and the structured values side by side.

This makes it easier for clients to verify, analyze, and troubleshoot data at the source level, without depending on backend access.

Revamped alerts center

  • Regional language messages now translate and display correctly in the app.
  • Previously, bulk uploads were limited to mandatory fields, resulting in incomplete records. Now, Excel bulk upload supports all key vehicle data fields, just like the web app. This makes uploads faster, more accurate, and complete.
  • Dashboard reports now include new data columns, such as parking status and panic status.
  • The alert summary report is now available with daily and weekly options in scheduled reports.
  • The Battery Disconnect Alert is now available for Teltonika devices, enabling you to detect tampering or sudden power disconnection in real-time.
  • You can now add secondary SIM details in device information (while adding or updating a device). Ensures uninterrupted live tracking and reporting even during network failures.

Conclusion

That’s a wrap for August 2025!
These updates are all about giving you more control, clarity, and confidence in your operations. We’re already working on more exciting enhancements for the coming months.
